Waffle irons are a ridiculously versatile piece of cooking equipment. From hash browns to pizza waffles, all kinds of delicious creations have emerged from the deep grooves of our waffle irons.
Waffle cookies are an absolute treat. They cook in a fraction of the time of normal cookies, look far cooler and you can bring your waffle iron and dough anywhere for instant freshly ‘baked’ wookies.
180g Softened butter
120g Brown sugar
1 Teaspoon vanilla
2 Cups flour
1 Teaspoon baking powder
150g Choc chips
Mix the butter, sugar and vanilla until creamy. To make things way easier, you can use an electric beater for this.
Gradually add the eggs to the mix until the smoothly combined.
Add the flour and baking powder and mix it all up.
Throw in those choc chip pieces, stir it all up and the cookie dough is ready to go!
We do suggest liberally oiling the waffle iron at this point (preheat it first). Roll the dough into even sized balls based upon your preference and your waffle iron.
Chuck the balls in the maker with sufficient space, close the lid, wait for them to cook, and eat up!
