Maltesers Waffles 2

Maltesers are a spherical malt honeycomb centre, surrounded by milk chocolate. They are most popular in the United Kingdom.

1 Combine the flour, baking powder, cocoa, caster sugar and malt biscuits in a bowl. Make a well in the center.
2 Use an electric mixer to beat the egg whites until it forms stiff peaks.
3 Combine the milk, malt powder, egg yolks and butter in a bowl and add this to the dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly.
4 Carefully fold in the egg whites.
5 Lightly oil your preheated waffle iron and add the batter. We prefer to use spray oil with a high smoke point such as flavorless coconut oil.
6 Meanwhile, grab as much ice cream and as many Maltesers as your heart desires. Crush the Maltesers up and mix it into the ice cream (softer the ice cream the easier this will be) Set aside to serve on top of the waffles.
7 Once your waffles have finished incubating, serve with your delicious Maltesers ice cream, and Bob’s your Uncle!
